What is the meaning of “Kappo”

The meaning of “Kappo” (in Japanese) comes from traditional Japanese cooking methods; to cut, boil, stew & fry, whereas “Ka 割” refers to food cut with a knife; it also refers to the cutting and preparing of  vegetables. “Po 烹” means any dish that is prepared with heat/fire. Wagyu Kappo Yoshida is a culinary showcase for the Kappo experience in harmony with Chef Yoshida’s philosophy that emphasizes the proximity between the guest and the chef who is cutting and cooking the food.

Guests can enjoy each wagyu’s signature flavour profile being elevated through a variety of cooking techniques. To complement the extensive wagyu beef menu, Wagyu Kappo Yopshida also offers a wide variety of other premium meats and seafood available a la carte or as part of the restaurant’s omakase menus.
